In online launch live-streamed and moderated by the presenter Hande Berktanon Masthead section of Bloomberght.com and Business HT social media accounts, novelties of the canias4.0 were discussed, and Industrial Application Objects (IAO), a novel product of IAS, was launched.
In the first session of the event, Berktan hosted Yaşar Hakan Karabiber, the chairman of the IAS Executive Board. Karabiber talked over the recent works carried out by the IAS, and its software and hardware products, vision on Industry 4.0, and its latest novelty, Industrial Application Objects (IAO). In the next sessions of the program, Metehan Altındil, directorate general of the IAS, meticulously explained to audiences the IAO, which has turned all items in the canias4.0 ecosystem into an object. Directorate General of the IAS, Bahtiyar Tan announced DEVMODE, which is a novel software development approach designed by the IAS to bring a novel vision to the sector. canias4.0 IoT solution and methodology for the project were addressed by İbrahim Tataroğlu, Coordinator for IAS IoT Projects.
One of the most prominent agenda topics was Industrial Application Objects (IAO), which is the novel product of IAS. Metehan Altındil, Directorate General of IAS, gave a live-stream presentation and detailed information on the product. "It has been mandatory to develop software solutions for corporations to hold on to the market, to enhance their competitiveness, and to globalize. Technology has advanced and these processes have been increasingly continuing.
The scope of technological developments is increasing day by day, and software is becoming giant systems hard to control. As IAS, we have developed a novel product both to better manage such complexity and to pioneer these technological developments with our title as engineer producing technology: Industrial Application Objects (IAO)." stated Altındil, first underscoring the need for such a product regarded as significant progress in the sector.
Stating that 77 modules within the caniasERP have been turned into an object, Altındil explained the details on their novelty IAO by sampling over the Sales Management (SAL) modules. Altındil said: "We have turned all of the modules within the IAO and the caniasERP, which is our solution for corporations’ source planning, into an independent, self-sufficient object. Along with all components within Modules as Service, they have become individual objects that can sustain their life independently in their media. You will own an object that you can proceed to your targets in terms of both updates and testing processes as well. They are in harmony in way and target. We have designed objects that are capable of living individually and operating independently of the medium by being fully integrated into the ERP. It comprises a strong structure of integration that can be incorporated into not only the objects within itself but also all required systems when needed. We're talking about a media/platform independent structure. These are the objects that are capable of functioning independently of platforms and operating in the on-premises cloud, private, public, or hybrid media. The objects are formed of a plurality of components. These can be listed as database, user interface (UI), Selection Report, Functions, Test, Document, Transaction, BPM, IQ, Export, Import, Web Service, Integrity, and Rules/AI.", adding: "We're planning on introducing our product to the market in a container form on our platform in the short- and medium-term. You can think of this as a porter. When the user operates on the objects, we will be serving all components from the smallest one to the server layer behind."
Artificial intelligence, which has lately been one of the most popular concepts, was also among the agenda topics of the event. Altındil, underscoring the matter of artificial intelligence and IAS's projects on this area with reference to its domain concept, said: "Domains comprise a great amount of information inside. We've been planning on creating a language for every domain based on the rules that we are to define within neural networks in artificial intelligence.
Just as neurons act like a message in nerves, domains, in fact, will take on a mission as neurons on the artificial intelligence that we will create here; in fact, they will become the neuron itself. In other words, ERP Systems Will Speak! We will automatically turn the process within the system into a sentence by creating the terms such as subject, verb, and adjective. To develop a process within the system will refer to establishing a sentence, and we will proceed with all these processes in cooperation with the object-oriented section of our database using our software language TROIA."
Bahtiyar Tan, Directorate General of IAS, mentioned the novel software development approach of the IAS in the canias4.0 IAO launch. Talking over the importance of software solutions and the works done by the IAS, Tan stated: "Corporations have now been trying to make their business process more agile. Generally, digital shadows are based on the laser data scanned to catch stationary objects. Most importantly, data flow is a unidirectional process.
The data flow from physical substances through digital shadows but the reverse is not possible. Digital shadows can be formed of digital twins as they are capable of grasping and simplifying a plurality of data passing through a pair of twins in certain periods. Digital models are rather ideal for developing industrial designs and ideas. Digital shadows are advantageous in following up the process of manufacturing, while digital twins contribute to the assessment of the real-time manufacturing processes. To use a platform capable of ensuring these three functions will provide manufacturers with an efficient digital transformation tool for data-based analyses.
